Warsaw man hurt in Benton accident

David E. Wilkins, 57, of Warsaw, received minor injuries at 7:21 p.m. Thursday in a Benton County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wilkins was driving a 2005 Ford Expedition east on state Route 7 east of Cold Springs Avenue when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a road sign. Wilkins overcorrected, crossed the roadway and his vehicle traveled off the left side and overturned. 

He refused medical treatment at the scene. Wilkins was wearing a safety seat belt.

Montrose man hurt in Henry two-car accident 

Jonathan E. Schussler, 33, of Montrose, received minor injuries at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Schussler was driving west on Kansas Street at Seventh Street in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze when he collided in the intersection with northbound Jason A. Breshears, 41, of Montrose, who was driving a 2014 Ford F-150. 

Schussler, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by personal vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. Breshears was wearing a seat belt.

Two hurt in Morgan two-vehicle accident

Mica A. Baldwin, 44, of Jefferson City, and Stanley R. Baldwin, 47, of Jefferson City, received minor injuries at 11:40 a.m. Sunday in a Morgan County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 1963 Nova driven by Stanley Baldwin was westbound on state Route 52 at the state Route 5 East junction when a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Devon L. Keller, 29, of Marshall, was southbound and making a left-hand turn and turned into the path of the Nova. 

Mica Baldwin was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Stanley Baldwin was not transported for his injuries.

Everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt. 

Two hurt in DWI accident in Pettis County

Christopher G. Bluml, 34, of Kansas City, Missouri, received moderate injuries and William D. Ritchie, 58, of Neosho, received minor injuries at 9:38 a.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when Bluml, who was driving east on U.S. 50 at Westwood Avenue in a 2005 Acura, struck the rear of Richie's 2018 Freightliner Cascadia. 

Richie, who was wearing a seat belt, refused treatment on the scene. Bluml, who was also wearing a seat belt, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Pettis County Ambulance District. 

Bluml was arrested for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and careless and imprudent driving. 

Teens seriously injured in Pettis accident

A 17-year-old female and an 11-year-old male from Sedalia were seriously injured and their 20-year-old driver, Andrew M. Vansel of La Monte, was moderately injured in a crash at 11:43 p.m. Saturday in Pettis County. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Vansel was driving south in a 2014 Kia Cadenza when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right, crossed the center of the roadway and began to skid. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck several trees and an occupant was ejected.

Vansel, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Pettis County Ambulance District. Te 17-year-old, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Pettis County Ambulance District. The 11-year-old, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to University Hospital by Life Flight. 

Marshall woman injured in Saline accident 

Kristin L. Steffens, 20, of Marshall, received moderate injuries at 2:05 p.m. Friday in a Saline County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2019 Ford F-150 driven by Michael Bowlby, 72, of Moberly, was eastbound on I-70 at the 76.6-mile marker and slowed due to traffic congestion. Steffens’ 2010 Ford Escape traveled off the right side of the road and struck the Ford F-150. 

Steffens was transported by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. She was wearing a seat belt.
