Two injured in Benton crash
Two individuals were injured in a crash at 2:50 p.m. Monday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joe R. Carnes, 53, of Warsaw, was driving a motorcycle southbound on state Route 83, when he began to turn left on state Route MM. His vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by Amelia G. Fizer, 30, of Lincoln, ejecting Carnes.
Fizer suffered minor injuries and was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in Clinton by a private vehicle. Carnes also suffered minor injuries but refused treatment on scene.
One killed in Henry crash
A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 8:20 p.m. Monday in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Autumn R. Cunningham, 23, of Urich, was driving northbound on state Route 7, at Northwest 901 Road, when they failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Mary J. Cable, 76, of Clinton, on the passenger side. Cable’s vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side.
Cable was pronounced deceased by Henry County Coroner D. Sisk. Cunningham suffered minor injuries but refused treatment on scene.
