Police Reports June 15

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 9

3:15 a.m.: Jacob Edward Masters, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers responded to a fire scene in the 3600 block of South Limit Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a male individual who witnesses stated exposed himself. After further investigation, it is believed that the male intentionally set the fire within the motel room. Masters was placed under arrest and taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold for arson and four counts of sexual misconduct.

June 11

3:34 p.m.: Jacob J. Johnson, 33, of Cole Camp, was arrested for theft from a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and issued a municipal citation.

4:35 p.m.: Louisa Janine Doyle, 29, of the 300 block of McAnally Court, was arrested after officers responded to a non-injury hit-and-run accident. Doyle was identified and issued a summons.

9:39 p.m.: Philip A. Miller, 23, of Independence, was arrested after a traffic stop for a defective headlight and no license plates. A check showed the driver's license status was suspended and he was arrested, transported to the SPD, and released with a City ticket for driving with a suspended license.

June 12

12:25 a.m.: Anisha Nicole Sims, 30, of the 500 block of West Jefferson Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to the 1100 block of South Massachusetts Avenue for a burglary. As officers arrived, a female was leaving and getting into a vehicle. Officers made contact with the female and the reporting party and it was determined the female had entered the residence without permission and using force. After placing the female under arrest, officers located a controlled substance in her belongings. Sims was then taken to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on a 24-hour hold for second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

12:39 a.m.: Michael T. Glenn, 35, of Smithton, was arrested after a traffic stop on East Broadway Boulevard for failure to maintain his lane and speeding. It was determined that Glenn was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest, transported to the SPD and released to a sober person with a municipal citation for driving while intoxicated.

6:10 a.m.: James Baker Jr., 22, of Smithton, was arrested after officers responded to the area of Wilkerson Street and South Harrison Avenue for a traffic complaint. A subject had been driving backward over curbs and through yards. It was determined he was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest, transported to the SPD and then to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated.

3:24 p.m.: Thomas B. Walje, 47, of the 2300 block of East 10th Street, was arrested after police responded for a male disturbing the peace. Officers found it was the same subject they contacted two prior times and received six calls for service on. He was previously released from jail following a protective custody hold just two hours earlier and was arrested for peace disturbance, resisting arrest, and was transported back to jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

7:41 p.m.: Leroy Aljenon Burks, of the 2300 block of West Main Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed the male assaulted a female, which caused minor injuries. He also took her phone, which prevented her from calling the police. He was arrested for domestic assault and victim tampering and was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

June 13

12:50 a.m.: Angela D. Marquez, 33, of Jefferson City, was arrested after a vehicle stop on West Broadway Boulevard at South Vermont  Avenue for several moving violations. A check of the driver revealed she had a suspended driver's license. She was arrested and transported to the SPD where she was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license. 

12:50 a.m.: Aleksey Ryakhmyatullov, 25, of the 1600 block of West 18th Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Irene Circle for a suspicious activity call. Officers made contact with the suspect, who stated he drove his motorcycle there and it ran out of gas. He was arrested for driving with a revoked license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.

8:22 p.m.: Alberto Cano, 24, of the 600 block of North Stewart Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for a vehicle with no front plate near West Main Street and South Grand Avenue. The registered owner had an active Pettis County warrant and was in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for the warrant and a state charge of possession of marijuana. Cano was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Incidents

June 7

1:21 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Fifth Street for a stolen catalytic converter. The suspect is unknown at this time.

June 8

11:39 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a reported domestic assault in the 300 block of McAnally Court. The suspect is known but has not been located at this time.

June 11

6:13 a.m.: A woman came to the SPD and stated someone had posted private sexual images of her to Facebook. At the time of the report, a suspect had not been located.

2:10 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to an address on South Beacon Avenue regarding a sex crime investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

7:44 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of East 16th Street, Centennial Park, for a report of a burglary. The front door of the north and south concession stands by the baseball diamonds had been forced open and in one of the concession stands the money box had been pried open. No money had been left in the concession stands overnight and nothing was taken from inside the concession stands. The total estimated amount of the damage was $470. There are no suspects at this time.

June 12

10:14 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West 32nd Street for a report of property damage. The victim stated the rear window of her 2004 Nissan Maxima had been damaged. After closer examination, it appeared the damage was caused by a BB gun. Damage was estimated at $500.

12:43 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of East Seventh Street regarding property damage. Earlier that morning someone had gone by the residence and shot at the vehicles in the driveway causing damage to the back windows of one and the frame of another. The victims were able to provide the name of a suspect and the incident was caught on video. 

9:07 p.m.: A man reported someone entered his truck and stole his wallet while it was parked in the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue. He also stated he had left his vehicle unlocked.

9:44 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Stewart Avenue for a disturbance. The caller stated his juvenile son was out of control and refusing to stay at the residence. Officers made contact with the juvenile who stated he did not want to stay at the home and that he was leaving. The juvenile and his father began to talk and a short time later the juvenile ran off. He is now missing.

June 13

12:35 p.m.: Officers were dispatched for a subject check in the 500 block of South Grand Avenue. A male subject was intoxicated and informed the officers his children were at his residence alone. Officers responded to the 600 block of East 16th Street to check on the welfare of the children who were deemed safe. They were picked up by their mother due to the lack of care from the male. No charges were submitted.

7 p.m.: An officer responded to the 600 block of East 12th Street for an assault. The caller stated that a male who is known to her had entered the residence while she was sleeping, held her down and began kissing her. A witness entered the residence and was able to get the suspect to exit. The suspect was known at the time of this report and charges are being sought.

8:50 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court in reference to a child investigation. A parent had left three young children at home unattended for a short time. The mother arrived and a report was made of the incident.

Pettis County Sheriff's Department

June 14

8 a.m.: Wilfredo Negron-Pacheco, of Olathe, Kansas, was arrested after deputies responded to the 22000 block of Chevalier Road in La Monte in reference to a suspicious vehicle. After making contact, deputies were informed the driver had a suspended driver’s license. After resisting deputies, Pacheco was placed in custody and a search of his person and vehicle revealed several bags containing methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax and marijuana. Pacheco was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and driving while with a suspended license. K-9 Cav assisted with sniffing the vehicle.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

June 11

9:26 p.m.: Jessie L. Lamons, 19, of St. Louis, and Tyler P. Beilsmith, 19, of O'Fallon, were arrested in Morgan County for not displaying navigational lights, being minors who were visibly intoxicated, and boating while intoxicated. They were released on summons. 

June 12

6:52 p.m.: Beau C. Roseblock, 26, of Eldon, was arrested in Morgan County for boating while intoxicated. He was processed and released.
