This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests
June 22
7:05 p.m.: Allison Marie Wood, 33, of the 500 block of South Grand Avenue was arrested after officers responded to a female screaming. After an investigation, Wood was located intoxicated. Her screaming was not due to an assault or crime against her. She was given a warning for peace disturbance. While officers were outside she threw a hammer through the window at them in an apparent attempt to cause serious physical injury. Wood was placed under arrest, transported to a hospital, and then to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on a 24-hour hold pending charges of assault 1st-degree, armed criminal action, and second-degree property damage.

June 16
4:45 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to South Woodlawn Avenue in regard to an incident of sex abuse which had occurred 28-years-ago on East Ninth Street.
June 22
10:37 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1300 Block of South Ohio Avenue for a report of a stolen license plate. There are no suspects at this time.
12:59 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the intersection of South Wagner Avenue and East 14th Street in regard to a hit and run. The damage was estimated to have occurred within an hour of the police being called and was estimated at $1,200. The victim stated they would like to pursue charges.
1:33 p.m.: An officer took a report in the police station lobby from a woman about damage to her mother's windshield. The complainant stated that overnight someone had shot what looked like a BB at the windshield of the vehicle in the 1000 block of East 15th Street. Photos were taken of the damage and attached to the report. There are no suspects at this time.

Incidents
June 22
7:27 a.m.: Deputies took a report of illegal dumping in the area of McCormick Road in Sedalia, Pettis County. There were no leads at the time of the report.
8:55 a.m.: Deputies took a report of tampering with a motor vehicle that occurred in the 25000 block of state Route D in Hughesville, Pettis County. The investigation continues.

Arrests
June 15
12:10 a.m.: Joshua J. Voorhees, 20, of Independence, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated - drug intoxication, speeding, and driving without a valid driver's license. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
