City of Sedalia contractors continue working to make improvements to the City’s water distribution system. The following streets will be affected by the installation of water mains and service lines during the next week.
• West 16th Street from its intersection with South Beacon Avenue to South Warren Avenue will be reduced to one lane beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, April 12 and will re-open at 5 p.m. Friday, April 16.
• South Warren Avenue at its intersection with West 18th Street will be closed periodically beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 13 continuing through 5 p.m. Friday, April 16.
• East Third Street at its intersection with South Stewart Avenue will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 13 and will re-open at 5 p.m.
• East Third Street at its intersection with South Quincy Avenue will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 and will re-open at 5 p.m.
Travelers in these areas are encouraged to plan for use of alternate routes during this period to avoid delays.
This work is weather- and equipment-dependent and the re-opening dates may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
