Blue Springs-Fike beat Washington 12-8 late Thursday night in the first round of the American Legion state baseball tournament at Liberty Park Stadium.

The second first-round game between Carthage and defending state champ Festus was rained out Thursday night, and no games were played Friday because of the weather.

Carthage and Festus are scheduled to play at 2 p.m. today. The winners of the two first-round games are set for 5 p.m., and the losers of the first two games are scheduled for 8 p.m.

An elimination game has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday with the championship game set for 4 p.m.
