Wildcats declawed

Posted: Thursday, November 8, 2007 12:00 am | Updated: 8:46 am, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

WARSAW—The Bishop Hogan Rams wasted little time showcasing their high-flying offense in their Class 2 sectional football game against the Warsaw Wildcats on Wednesday night. Bishop Hogan scored on its first two offensive plays, built a 44-14 halftime lead, and cruised to a 50-27 win to open state play.

Sophomore quarterback Dawon Cummings hit Ray Bingley with a 69-yard scoring pass on Bishop Hogan’s first play, then connected with Marcus Denmin for the two-point conversion, and the Rams led 8-0 just 19 seconds into the game. After Warsaw’s first drive stalled and the Wildcats punted, the Rams struck again.
