Clerk’s office seeks out absentee voters

Posted: Wednesday, March 31, 2010 12:00 am | Updated: 10:39 am, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

The Pettis County Clerk’s office will field teams Thursday and Friday to help homebound voters cast absentee ballots for Tuesday’s municipal election.

Terrie Close, the county’s election clerk, said a pair of two-person teams, one Democrat and one Republican, will be making stops at Pettis County nursing homes and to the homes of “shut-ins, the homebound, the elderly or others where going to the polls would be an undue burden.”
