Sacred Heart kindergartner, Ava Stone, right, reads a sentence back to fifth-grader Abby Withers during a kindergarten literacy activity in the school's gymnasium on Friday. The activity is based on the Rowland Reading Foundation's phonics- based Superkids Reading Program, in which kids are taught one letter at a time and in the process, learn decoding skills that enable them to progress from sounding letters to eventually reading sentences. Lucky for the kids at Sacred Heart, there is a lot of fun integrated into the process.
