During today’s regular meeting, the Sedalia City Council will hold a public hearing for the annexation of 6.79 acres of property in west Sedalia along Mitchell Road.

The hearing will begin immediately before the council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m. If there are no objections to the annexation, council will vote on the matter during its Feb. 19 regular meeting.

A year ago, MFA Oil Company provided the seed money for a covered arena annex for the Coliseum on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. On Aug. 16, ground will be broken to plant that seed.
