CONCORDIA — Sacred Heart erased a 2-0 deficit and scored eight unanswered runs to claim its first district title since 2010, beating Windsor 8-2 in the Class 2, District 15 championship game Tuesday at the Concordia Sports Complex.

The Smith-Cotton Tigers’ first-round game in the Class 4, District 13 baseball tournament was postponed Monday because of rain.
Smith-Cotton’s baseball team held off a late rally to beat Raymore-Peculiar 7-6 on Tuesday in the opening round of the Class 4, District 13 tournament at Belton.
The Sacred Heart Gremlins might not have repeated as Kaysinger Conference Baseball Tournament champions this year, but they still have their attention set on winning a district championship.
In most district baseball scenarios, a victory over the second-ranked team in state would seemingly mean a ticket to the state playoffs, or at the very least a meeting with a lesser-caliber squad for the title.
