WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities monitored a rush of intelligence leads Tuesday at the largest security operation in presidential inauguration history, including a possible threat from an East Africa radical Islamic terrorist group.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Barack Obama leads off an inaugural parade down America’s main street that pays homage to pioneers who paved the way for the nation’s first black president.

The inauguration of Barrack Obama, the nation's first African American president is not just a national news story.  Four students along with thier advisors are attending the event in Washington D.C. and are regularly sending their experiences to The Sedalia Democrat in print, photo, and video.

U.S. President Barack Obama's inauguration committee has disclosed the names of all donors. Obama's group has limited contributions to the inauguration when compared to President George Bush, who raised $42.8 million for his 2005 swearing-in. As in his presidential campaign, Obama has also banned contributions from corporations, political action committees, registered lobbyists, foreigners and registered foreign agents.

The inauguration of Barrack Obama as the first African American President is certainly a historical event.  But it is not the only presidential inauguration with historical implications.
