This time next year the Missouri State Fair will have a new covered livestock arena next to the Coliseum, with the first ceremonial shovel of dirt turned at the site on Thursday.
The Missouri State Fair Box Office opened Monday in Sedalia, offering tickets for all paid events during the fair, Aug. 11-21. The office’s operating hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and during the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“This chick does not like your country lineup. I’m not a country fan. My friends and I are taking all of the money we saved for this year to spend at the fair and we’re going to Kansas City and spend it there. Sorry, Sedalia, hope your country chicks have deep pockets,” said one caller in the most recent edition of the Sedline.
