Mr. and Mrs. George Guier, of Florence, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 8 at the couple’s home, 3871 Buffalo Rd., in Florence.
Sheila Louise Carrender and George Guier were married April 8, 1978, at the Baptist Church in Sweet Springs by the Rev. James West.
Mr. Guier is self-employed by Guier Fence Co.
The couple has three children, Jennifer (Ronald) Dove, of Sedalia, Stephanie Casey, of Florence, and Sarah (Daniel) Dysart, of Osceola; and six grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to the celebration; the couple request no gifts.
