Mr. and Mrs. James K. Harvey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 9.
Carol Jane Wright and James K. (Jim) Harvey were married Dec. 9, 1967, at United Methodist Church in Salisbury by the Rev. John R. Harvey, father of the groom, and the Rev. Horne.
Mr. Harvey is retired from the Holden R-III School District and works for the Pettis County Juvenile Office.
Mrs. Harvey retired from Sedalia School District 200 after 26 years as an administrative assistant. She is retired from State Fair Community College after 23 years as a computer applications evening adjunct instructor. She works part-time for Sedalia School District 200.
They have two children, Lance (Stephanie) Harvey, of Hannibal, and Jill (Justin) Kindle, of Sedalia; and five grandchildren.
The couple took a trip June 9, 2017, to San Diego, California, where they lived while Mr. Harvey was stationed at Miramar Naval Air Station. They plan to have a family celebration at a later date and also take a trip to Italy in 2018.
