Wilma Stone Pummill will celebrate her 95th birthday with a celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at Cedarhurst Senior Living, 3751 W. 10th St.
Wilma was born May 16, 1923, in Grandview.
She married the late Lawrence Pummill on Nov. 21, 1940. They raised their four children in Houstonia, the late Larry Pummill, Terry Pummill, of Springfield, Gary Pummill, of Sedalia, and Jeanie Windes, of Overland Park, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Wilma was co-founder and co-owner of Pummill’s Sporting Goods where she worked until she retired at age 85. Wilma loves to play bingo, dominoes and card games. In her younger years, she was an avid mushroom hunter and loved to fish. She has a God-given talent of playing piano by ear.
