Jim and Joy Sparks, of Sedalia, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Hawaiian Islands in late October.
They were married Oct. 12, 1968, at Wesley United Methodist Church by Pastor Paul N. Smith.
Mr. Sparks retired from Union Electrician Local 124 IBEW in Kansas City. Mrs. Sparks retired from the Sedalia School District 200 Parents as Teachers program.
The couple has two children, Kevin (Heather) Sparks and Alex Sparks; and three grandchildren.
