This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 17

10:15 a.m.: Jordan T.C. Brisbin, 19, of the 1500 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested on a felony charge of third-degree domestic assault. Officers were dispatched to Brisbin’s residence for a report of a domestic assault. The complainant answered the door with bruising on her face and a bloody lip. Several small pools of blood were splattered on the front porch. The complainant said Brisbin abuses her on a regular basis. The officers took him into custody without incident.

11:50 p.m.: Waylon M. Burns, 33, of the 3200 block of East Broadway Boulevard, received a municipal court summons for a charge of trespassing. An officer observed Burns walking in the middle of the railroad tracks at East Broadway Boulevard and Harding Avenue. He spoke with Burns briefly and decided to issue a court summons for trespassing.

April 18

12:10 a.m.: Tiffany A. Ditzfeld, 32, of the 27000 block of Worth Road, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. Officers stopped Ditzfeld’s vehicle in the area of East 16th Street and South Center Avenue for not having registration. A computer check of her information revealed she had a suspended license. Dispatch confirmed she also had a failure to appear warrant.

Incidents

April 16

4:30 p.m.: An officer took an assault report in the police station lobby. The victim said someone assaulted him in the 1000 block of South Monroe Avenue on April 14. He said he suffered injuries during the assault, which caused an apparent broken bone. He received treatment at Bothwell Regional Health Center the same day and was released. At the time of the report, the officer hadn’t located the suspect.

April 17

8:55 a.m.: A complainant said she left her house to go to work and found the driver-side window of her vehicle broken, with $80 in cash and $90 in medication missing from inside. The vehicle had pry marks on both the front driver-side and passenger-side windows. The damage is estimated to cost $280 with a total loss from the vehicle of $430. The victim did not have suspect information at the time of the report, but she said she was willing to assist with prosecution.

5:30 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West 10th Street in reference to a property damage report. The complainant said an unfamiliar subject kicked in her back door on April 3. She said the total damage inflicted will cost $2,150.
