This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 24

5 a.m.: Officers responded to the 900 block of South Arlington Avenue in reference to a vehicle theft. The caller said his vehicle was stolen sometime during the evening. He said his vehicle was locked, and he still had the only key to the vehicle. He estimated the value of the vehicle to be $3,000. Officers had not located the vehicle or identified suspects at the time of the report.

6:40 p.m.: Justin David Woolery, 31, was arrested on charges of felony first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and stealing a motor vehicle. A woman reported her vehicle stolen from the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard in a theft that occurred at 10:30 a.m. The caller had since located Woolery, who she believed to be the suspect, and was following him in the area of West Seventh Street and South Kentucky Avenue. Officers responded to the area and found Woolery. They later located the woman’s vehicle.

8:55 p.m.: Anthony Robert Hill, 37, of the 1400 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer stopped Hill’s vehicle in the area of South Kentucky Avenue and West 14th Street after recognizing him as a suspended driver. The officer spoke with Hill and a passenger and collected their information. A computer check through dispatch confirmed Hill’s suspended status. Further investigation reportedly revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

April 25

11 a.m.: Kimberlee A. Spry, 31, of the 100 block of East 10th Street, received a municipal court summons for a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. Officers responded to the 3400 block of West 32nd Street in reference to a hit-and-run accident. They spoke with the complainant, who said a vehicle struck her car while it was parked in the 3300 block of West 16th Street. She said the striking vehicle left without providing information, and her car had minor damage to the front bumper. The officers identified the suspect, Spry, and her vehicle through investigation and issued a municipal court summons.

7 p.m.: Jesse Allen Parrott, 31, of the 5600 block of South Limit Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer made an investigative stop on Parrott’s vehicle in the 2500 block of West 16th Street. Parrott was documented to have active warrants and a suspended license. The officer visually confirmed Parrott was the owner of the car and was driving before the stop. When dispatch confirmed the warrants and suspension, the officer took him into custody.

11:30 p.m.: Daniella K. Slivinskiy, 19, of the 2700 block of Clinton Road; Mariya Tsapok, 20, of the 800 block of South Barrett Avenue; and Liliya Tsapok, 19, of the 800 block of South Barrett Avenue, received municipal court summonses for a charge of minor in possession of alcohol. An officer conducted a check of two vehicles in the 3100 block of Aaron Avenue. Following investigation at the scene, he issued municipal summonses to the three occupants of the vehicles.

Incidents

April 19

10 p.m.: Officers responded to a residence in the 1800 block of South Osage Avenue to serve a drug-related search warrant. They didn’t find anyone inside the home when they arrived. A search of the residence revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Officers had already arrested the suspect known to live at the residence during a previous subject check. They are seeking charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia against the suspect.

April 24

12:10 p.m.: A man reported to deputies that someone took his Kubota RTV utility vehicle out of his shed for a joyride. The suspect damaged the RTV and left it in the man’s field. An investigation is ongoing.

April 26

12:30 p.m.: Arlis D. Hamp, 41, and Emma J. Guthrie, 31, both of Clinton, were arrested in Henry County on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
