Arrests

Aug. 15

8:15 a.m.: Blake E. Bennett, 29, of Hughesville, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Bennett’s vehicle in the 2900 block of West Broadway Boulevard for not having license plates. He spoke with Bennett, who reportedly said he had a suspended license. Dispatch confirmed his suspended status.

11:35 a.m.: Douglas L. Johnson, 46, of the 30000 block of Van Dyke Road, was arrested on charges of stealing a motor vehicle, felony resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and careless driving. An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of East Fourth Street to recover a stolen motorcycle, which was reported missing Saturday. The officer spoke with a woman, who said she didn’t know anything about a stolen motorcycle. She gave officers permission to search a nearby shed. The officer looked inside, but didn’t find the vehicle. Witnesses later saw someone driving the motorcycle across different locations in Sedalia. Officers located the motorcycle and the driver, Johnson, in the 2800 block of South Ingram Avenue and took him into custody.

Aug. 15

9:45 p.m.: Rodney B. Glass, 51, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and not having insurance.

Aug. 16

1:30 a.m.: Kevin S. Morrison, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

1:55 a.m.: Trustin A. Oja, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and defective equipment.
