This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 2

1:45 p.m.: Crystle J.A. Wilson, 29, of the 1500 block of South Missouri Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Wilson’s vehicle near East 16th Street and South Montgomery Avenue for speeding. Dispatch confirmed her suspended status.

11:40 p.m.: Justin Herbert Schoen, 32, of Otterville, was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of a concealable weapon. An officer stopped a vehicle in the area of South Missouri Avenue and West Seventh Street for not having a front license plate. Investigation revealed Schoen, who is a convicted felon, was in possession of a firearm.

Feb. 3

2:20 a.m.: Luis Sotelo Alvarado, 21, of the 500 block of East Chestnut Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. Officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue for a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the drive-thru lane. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the subject, who was found to have a suspended license and a Pettis County warrant.

7:30 a.m.: Justin David Woolery, 31, of Independence, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless burning. An officer responded to the 100 block of South Park Avenue for a report of a building fire. He spoke with two witnesses, one of whom said he caught a homeless man, Woolery, at about 3 a.m. making a small fire by the building for warmth. The witness said he let the man sleep in his van to stay out of the cold for the night. During an interview with Woolery, the officer reportedly learned the suspect started a fire and left it burning overnight, which caused the building to catch on fire. He arrested Woolery and found a marijuana pipe in his pocket.

2 p.m.: Alexis Danielle Arnwine, 34, of the 800 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. An officer stopped Arnwine’s vehicle in the 1900 block of West Main Street for not having a front license plate. Upon contact, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a small box that contained methamphetamine and marijuana.

3:20 p.m.: Nathaniel Alexander Siefkas, 20, of the 1400 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested on charges of first-degree property damage, misdemeanor first-degree stalking and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. An officer responded to the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue for a report of property damage. The complainant said Siefkas had been sending her threatening messages on social media and threatened to assault her and her son. Siefkas reportedly went to her house and destroyed a rear-view mirror on her vehicle. The complainant estimated the total cost of the damage to be about $800. Siefkas was later arrested and found to be in possession of marijuana.

5:10 p.m.: Jose G. Rubio, 25, of the 600 block of West Sixth Street, received a municipal court summons for a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Rubio’s vehicle on East Third Street and South Washington Avenue for disobeying a stop sign. Dispatch informed the officer of Rubio’s suspended status.

8:50 p.m.: Levi Ryan Craig, 25, of the 1800 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana. An officer stopped a vehicle in the area of South Washington Avenue and East 19th Street for an expired license plate. Craig was reportedly found in possession of marijuana.

10:40 p.m.: Ruben James Lee Logan Jr., 19, of the 36000 block of Route M, received a municipal court summons for destruction of non-city property. Officers responded to the 1900 block of West 10th Street for a report of property damage. The complainant said Logan kicked in his door, causing damage to the door frame. The officers found Logan and issued him a municipal court summons.

Feb. 4

2:15 a.m.: Rodney Drake Ballew, 37, of the 1300 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. Officers were dispatched to a business in the 2400 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a disturbance. They identified and spoke with the subjects involved in the disturbance. One subject, Ballew, was found to have an active Pettis County warrant. He was arrested and found to be in possession of marijuana.

11:45 a.m.: Christina Kaye Wiggins, 32, of the 700 block of East 24th Street, received a municipal court summons for possession of marijuana. An officer stopped Wiggins’ vehicle for disobeying a stop sign and not having a license plate. While speaking with her, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana and requested a second officer. Once the second officer arrived, he told Wiggins he could smell the odor, and she reportedly handed him a glass pipe from the center console. The officer conducted a probable cause search, but he didn’t find any other contraband.

Incidents

Feb. 1

11:55 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of East Fifth Street for a reported theft. The complainant said a small generator, valued at $500, went missing from his front porch. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

Feb. 2

2 p.m.: An officer met with a complainant in the police department lobby about a report of property damage. The victim said someone damaged the driver-side front bumper and quarter panel of his vehicle sometime between 8 a.m. Feb. 1 and 1 p.m. Feb. 2. He estimated to cost of repairs to be between $500 and $1,500.

Feb. 3

12:25 p.m.: Officers took a theft report in the 1600 block of Honeysuckle Road. The complainant said he realized a handgun was missing from his locked vehicle. He last knew the gun was in the vehicle on Jan. 18. The vehicle was with a mechanic for repairs on Jan. 29. The firearm is a Taurus M85 Ultralite .38 special with five rounds. The gun is loaded and has been described as having a chrome revolver, black handle and 2-inch barrel.

Feb. 4

2:40 p.m.: A man came to the police station and reported an assault. He said he was assaulted Feb. 2 at an establishment in the 1200 block of East Third Street. At the time of the report, there was one suspect.

Feb. 2

9:20 p.m.: Migeily Torres, 25, of California, was arrested in Moniteau County on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Feb. 3

5:20 p.m.: Erin L. Graves, 38, of Chula, was arrested in Henry County on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony tampering and driving with a revoked license.

11:25 p.m.: Jeffrey W. Hartsock, 38, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash, not having insurance, and failure to register a motor vehicle.

Feb. 4

2:45 a.m.: Aaron K. Hampy, 34, of Hughesville, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

10:50 a.m.: William R. Wuller, 24, Michael T. Sawyer, 22, and Jade M. Moses, 20, all of Columbia, South Carolina, were arrested in Saline County on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance.

5:15 p.m.: Jonathan L. Perry, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on a felony charge of leaving the scene of a crash.

8:45 p.m.: Lora D. Cooper, 47, of Calhoun, was arrested in Henry County on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.
