Jan. 15

8:55 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of East 15th Street for a reported assault with weapons. The caller said she had been hit over the head with a gun. The officers arrived and spoke with the caller and suspect, each of whom had injuries from assaulting each other. They determined the male suspect was the primary physical aggressor. He was released to the Pettis County Ambulance District and taken to a medical facility for treatment. The woman also went to a medical facility for treatment. The officers are pursuing state charges.

Arrests

Jan. 14

2:10 a.m.: Ashley D. Winstead, 22, of Independence, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Jan. 15

3:30 p.m.: William L. Scott, 44, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.

7:30 p.m.: Michael W. Nesbitt, 27, of Centerview, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

Jan. 16

1:10 a.m.: Charles A. McCollum, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.
