July 2

2:45 p.m.: Aubrey Lee Hineman, 60, of the 1100 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license. An officer conducted an investigative stop on Hineman’s vehicle because it fit the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a gas drive-off. The officer spoke with Hineman and learned she forgot to pay for her fuel that day. He identified her through dispatch and found she had a revoked license.

Incidents

July 3

6:45 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue for a theft report. He spoke with the victim, who said someone got into his unlocked vehicle overnight and stole a 9 mm handgun. The vehicle was parked in the 900 block of South Vermont Avenue.

11 a.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 1000 block of Thompson Boulevard for a report of forgery. The complainant said a female suspect forged a check for $348.28 worth of merchandise. She reportedly used a false name on the check, which was later found to be counterfeit. The officer had one suspect at the time of the report.

4:10 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of forgery. The complainant said a customer paid with a $10 bill that felt odd. When tested, it proved to be fake. The customer then paid with legal tender, and the fake bills were seized.
