Arrests

July 6

7:30 a.m.: Jennifer Ann Busing, 45, of the 600 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer spotted Busing’s vehicle without a front license plate and recognized her as someone with active warrants and a suspended license. He stopped her vehicle and found her license was still suspended. Busing also had two active warrants for her arrest.

Incidents

July 4

10:40 a.m.: A complainant called to report someone had broken into his three vehicles and stole items while they were parked in front of his residence in the 900 block of South Arlington Avenue. Suspects took a Dell laptop computer, a set of work keys, three USB drives, a snap-on multi tool and a screwdriver set. The total value of the loss is $1,095. The victim was willing to assist with prosecution. The officer had no suspect information at the time of the report.

8 p.m.: A complainant came to the police station and said someone took items from a shed in the backyard of his residence. The incident happened about 12:30 a.m. June 30. Suspects made entry by breaking the plastic handles on the metal shed. Once inside, they took an 18-volt DeWalt cordless reciprocating saw and an Eastern Pro Bike. The suspects also vandalized a Gravely lawn mower by putting silicone on the seat.

July 5

8:40 a.m.: A subject came to the police station to report property damage to his vehicle. The car sustained damage while it was parked at the Liberty Park baseball field. The complainant said he left at 1:30 p.m. the day before and returned at 1:30 a.m. that morning to find the vehicle he had been driving was damaged. Cost of the damage is estimated between $877.22 and $1,187.10. The officer had possible suspect available at the time of the report.

1:10 p.m.: A complainant came to the police station to report someone had used his debit card fraudulently. A subject he knows took his debit card and used it to make nearly $1,800 in fraudulent charges. The victim was willing to assist with prosecution.

7:20 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a rape. They received information on a suspect. An investigation is ongoing.
