This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 29

1:40 a.m.: Chad Jeffery Wolfe, 34, of the 700 block of 15th Street, was arrested on charges of violation of a protection order, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. An officer was dispatched to East 11th Street and South Ingram Avenue for a subject check. The subject, Wolfe, had reportedly violated an order of protection, and the officer took him into custody. A search of his person after the arrest revealed drug substances.

July 3

10:50 p.m.: Blake Austin Hollon, 19, of Marshall, was arrested on charges of distribution of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer stopped a vehicle near West Saline Street and North Mill Street. During the traffic stop, he reportedly could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed two plastic bags with marijuana, two small digital scales with marijuana residue in one of them and a glass pipe.

10:55 p.m.: Howard D. Estes, 68, of the 800 block of East 15th Street, was arrested on charges of felony first-degree assault, armed criminal action, misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers were dispatched to Estes’ residence for a report of a disturbance. Investigation reportedly revealed Estes had threatened another person with a knife during the fight. They also found he was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

July 4

3:25 a.m.: Aaron Alexander Kempf, 28, of the 300 block of North Heard Avenue, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a concealable weapon and felony receiving stolen property. An officer stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for failing to signal while turning. Investigation reportedly revealed one of the occupants, Kempf, was in possession of methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia and other controlled substances.

7:40 p.m.: Ahmad J. Dupree, 26, of the 500 block of 10th Street, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, identity theft, careless driving, fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest. Officers stopped Dupree’s vehicle for an expired temporary tag near West 20th Street and South Warren Avenue. Dupree reportedly provided false identification. Officers discovered his true identity, and a computer check revealed he had a revoked license. When the officers told Dupree to step out of his vehicle, he reportedly drove away at a high rate of speed. A pursuit of his vehicle ended at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, where officers arrested him. No one was injured in the incident.

9:20 p.m.: Jaime Guzman, 43, of the 600 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license. Officers saw a vehicle whose owner they knew had a suspended license. After an investigative stop, they confirmed the owner, Guzman, was the driver and arrested him.

July 4

11:25 a.m.: A Sedalia woman reported a child molestation case to the Sheriff’s Office. Investigation is ongoing.

July 4

1:40 a.m.: Anita F. Snodgrass, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
