This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 20

9:50 p.m.: Shuntell Kim Douglas, 36, of the 1100 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, second-degree property damage and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Troy C. Wright, 33, of the 300 block of West Sixth Street, was arrested on a felony charge of stealing. Officers responded to the area of South Kentucky Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard for a report of a disturbance with weapons. When they arrived, a short vehicle pursuit ensued and ended near South Osage Avenue and West 15th Street, where two subjects were arrested. Through investigation, the officers found Douglas reportedly used a baton to smash the windows of a vehicle. Wright was arrested on a stealing charge for a reported theft of a cellphone.

June 21

2:10 p.m.: Lydia T. Antwiler, 22, of the 1700 block of South Harrison Avenue, was arrested on a felony charge of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle. An officer was dispatched to Antwiler’s residence in reference to a 911 call. After further investigation, the officer recovered a vehicle that was reported stolen from the address the day before. He then took Antwiler into custody.

Incidents

June 21

12:25 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of West Fourth Street for a reported sex crime. The complainant said a known suspect sexually assaulted her daughter. An investigation is ongoing.

4:10 p.m.: An officer met with a complainant in the police station lobby in reference to a suspicious person who entered her residence. She said she was inside her home making breakfast at 6:30 a.m. that day when her dog began to bark. When she went into her living room, she found an unknown man standing there. She asked what he was doing, and he identified himself as maintenance for the Housing Authority. The complainant yelled for another occupant of her residence, and the man fled on foot. She later spoke with management at the Housing Authority, who told her the man was not an employee. The suspect had not been identified at the time of the report.

5:35 p.m.: An officer responded to the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue in reference to a burglary. He met with the property owner, who operates three apartments out of the residence. All three are currently vacant. The owner said someone stole two air conditioning units out of the residence sometime last week. They had a value of $250 each. At the time of the report, the officer had no suspects.

10:40 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Wilkerson Street in reference to a report of property damage. The victim said a suspect came to the residence about 10:20 p.m. and broke a window on the house and the side-view mirror of a pickup truck. The complainant estimated damage to the window to be $400 and $300 for the truck mirror. The suspect was identified, and the incident is under investigation.

Arrests

June 21

5:30 a.m.: Charles McCollum and Marlo Callahan, of the 22000 block of Westmoreland Road, were arrested on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault and violating a 12-hour domestic rule.

June 22

4:40 a.m.: Richard Russell Rhea, of Warrensburg, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and identity theft. Deputies arrested Rhea after a traffic stop in the area of McVey Road and Goodwill Chapel Drive.

Arrests

June 22

8:25 a.m.: Keith E. Halderman, 43, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving with a suspended license, not having insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Troopers also served a Pettis County felony warrant.
