This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 10

2:55 p.m.: April D. Peterson, 27, of the 1800 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license. An officer stopped Peterson’s vehicle in the area of West Fifth Street and South Grand Avenue for improper registration. Dispatch advised her license was revoked.

10:45 p.m.: Kelly Patricia Bolin, 32, of the 2000 block of West 14th Street, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 4100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for improper lane usage. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, the officer could smell an odor of intoxicants. He asked the driver, Bolin, to step out of the vehicle and complete field sobriety tests. She reportedly performed poorly and was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Bolin provided a breath sample at the police station that was above the legal limit.

Incidents

March 9

8 a.m.: Two officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Apple Tree Lane in reference to a domestic disturbance. They arrived and spoke with both parties, who said a physical altercation occurred. The parties were released pending the filing of state charges. One of the officers is submitting the case to the Pettis County prosecutor for review.

3:10 p.m.: Officers observed a red vehicle coming over a hill eastbound on 16th Street in a turn lane passing all others. The vehicle was traveling 84 mph in a 35-mph zone. Officers turned around to make a traffic stop and noticed the vehicle forced others into other lanes of traffic so that it could change lanes. The driver’s continuing actions were reportedly dangerous and could have caused serious physical injury, if not stopped. The vehicle turned onto South U.S. Route 65 and began fleeing from officers. The driver turned onto Country Club Drive and proceeded through the subdivision at speeds more than 57 mph in a 25-mph zone. The pursuit proceeded through several city streets at high speeds before officers ended the chase once the vehicle drove into the county. Charges are pending.

March 10

6 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Winchester Drive for a theft report. He spoke with a complainant, who said several guns were stolen from a residence. At the time of the report, the officer was not able to speak with a suspect.

Arrests

March 10

2 a.m.: Joseph Kulian, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

9:50 p.m.: Cori N. Craig, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, was arrested in Saline County on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
