Arrests

May 8

8:50 a.m.: Christopher J. Perry, 20, of the 1600 block of Honeysuckle Drive, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer responded to the 3800 block of East Broadway Boulevard to check on a subject that was reported to be in the area acting strangely. The officer found Perry in a parking lot and found he was in possession of marijuana, controlled substances and paraphernalia.

4:10 p.m.: Elizabeth E. Mattson, 59, of the 1300 block of East 14th Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license. An officer stopped Mattson’s vehicle near East Broadway Boulevard and South Babcock Avenue. She reportedly told the officer her driver’s license has been suspended or revoked for the past 10 years. Dispatch confirmed her license was revoked.

Incidents

May 7

2:50 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a found property report. An officer met with the caller, who said someone left behind a small baggie of methamphetamine. The caller pulled up security camera footage, and the officer was able to identify the subject who left the baggie behind. The officer is seeking charges of possession of a controlled substance.

May 8

9:30 a.m.: A complainant walked into the police station to report a theft. She said someone she knew stole her child support credit card and withdrew $8,000.

1:30 p.m.: Karen L. Whorton, 39, of Centerview, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.
