May 15

7:25 p.m.: Amy I. Clark, 39, of the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue, received a municipal court summons for charges of leaving the scene of an accident and not having proof of insurance. An officer responded to the area of East 16th Street and South Engineer Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. He spoke with the complainant, who said she was westbound on West 16th Street when a tan Toyota failed to stop at the stop sign on South Engineer Avenue. The vehicle collided with the complainant’s front passenger side, causing damage to her bumper and wheel. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. Several witnesses provided information, including the suspect’s license plate number. Officers identified the driver as Clark, and located her a short time later.

Incidents

May 16

5:15 p.m.: A complainant came to the police station to report a fraudulent use of a debit card. She said someone used her debit card in the St. Louis area for two transactions and withdrew $504.50. The complainant still has her bank card. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

7:50 p.m.: Officers responded to the 800 block of La Grand Drive for a report of a disturbance. They spoke with the parties involved. Two suspects said the other had threatened them. The officers have submitted charges for the prosecutor to review.

May 16

2:25 p.m.: Kyle D. Reed, 29, of Independence, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated, consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving and following too closely.
