This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 19

7:05 a.m.: Carlos E. Staten, 30, of the 300 block of West Fifth Street, and Amanda S. Sanders, 29, of Sedalia, were arrested on a charge of stealing. An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft. The complainant reported a late-night theft from the store Friday. The officer found the two suspects Sunday and took them into custody.

1:15 p.m.: Gina M. Carver, 37, of the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue, was arrested on charges of second-degree burglary and stealing. An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a theft report. The caller said Carver chose items from a store shelf and passed all points of payment without purchasing them. Employees stopped Carver at the exit doors and escorted her to an office in the business for further investigation. After the investigation, the officer took Carver into custody.

2:40 p.m.: Bailey Wayne Bardin, 18, of the 1400 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault and violation of an order of protection. Bardin hid a remote to a TV at a residence and tried to leave with a hat that didn’t belong to him. When others at the residence confronted him, he reportedly pushed a juvenile and choked and punched an older woman known to him. He left the residence as officers arrived, and they found him a short distance away. He was arrested on a charge of assault. He also had two full orders of protection against him for the residence.

Nov. 20

7 p.m.: Corey Eugene DeBates, 26, of the 1300 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped DeBates’ vehicle in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue for not having tail lights. He spoke with DeBates and completed a computer check of his information, which showed he had a suspended license. He also had a Pettis County warrant.

7:20 p.m.: Easter Rachelle Ray Galloway, 17, of the 400 block of South Quincy Avenue, received a municipal court summons for a charge of possession of marijuana. An officer performed a traffic stop in the area of West Fourth Street and South Quincy Avenue on a vehicle that didn’t have a front license plate. The officer spoke with a driver and a passenger. Investigation revealed the driver, Galloway, was in possession of marijuana. The officer issued her a municipal court summons.

Nov. 21

12:35 a.m.: Erin Lyn Dilthey, 38, of the 1400 block of South Beacon Avenue, was arrested on a charge of drug paraphernalia. An officer stropped Dilthey’s vehicle in the area of West 14th Street and South Warren Avenue after she committed a turn signal violation and improper lane use. Investigation during the stop revealed Dilthey was in possession of methamphetamine-related paraphernalia.

Incidents

Nov. 18

5:30 p.m.: An officer responded to the 3500 block of West 16th Street in reference to a runaway juvenile from Henry County who contacted dispatch to turn herself in. The officer found the juvenile and took her into custody. He brought her to the police department where he confirmed the runaway entry. Officers then took her to U.S. Route 65 and Route 52 where she was transferred to a Henry County deputy.

Nov. 20

1:50 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a disturbance in the parking lot of a business in the 3100 block of West 10th Street. The victim had since driven to another business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard where the officer met her. She said a red Chevrolet Impala almost struck the vehicle she was sitting in while parked in the business parking lot. A confrontation between the occupants of both vehicles then occurred, during which the passenger of the red Impala claimed to have a gun and threatened to shoot her. Both vehicles then parted ways. The complainant never saw a gun, and no one ever brandished it.

Nov. 20

11:25 p.m.: Anthony L. Kirchner, 26, of California, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving with a revoked license, not having insurance and failure to display valid license plates.
