Posted

Two Hughesville residents were arrested following a search warrant sting Friday.

Brandon Blaylock, 36, of the 200 block of Route H, was taken into custody following a search at his residence. He was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Ana Marcos, 19, was also arrested after she was found to have an active Pettis County warrant for a forgery charge.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies served the search warrant at Blaylock’s residence with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. They reportedly found a stolen firearm, a second firearm and methamphetamine.

The Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Blaylock with three felonies, possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm. He has posted a $60,000 surety bond, and his arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Detective Tollie Rowe said deputies arrested Blaylock again Tuesday for a no-bond parole violation. Blaylock remains in custody at the Pettis County Jail as the Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate his potential involvement in several burglaries across Pettis County.
