SPD arrests 3 after no-knock search warrant

Three people were arrested in Sedalia after a search warrant revealed potential drug distribution.

The Sedalia Police Department served the no-knock search warrant at 5:33 a.m. Friday at a residence in the 500 block of East 10th Street, according to a press release. Officers and detectives forced entry through the front door and made contact with three adults inside.

All three subjects were taken into custody without incident and are now held at the Pettis County Jail. Officers searching the residence found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a .40-caliber handgun and additional evidence indicating methamphetamine distribution.

David E. “Fathead” Martin Jr., 32, was arrested on charges of second-degree drug trafficking, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Officers also served a Johnson County warrant for Martin’s arrest for a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. The Johnson County warrant was issued with a $5,000 cash bond.

Jordan D. “JoJo” Rhodes, 30, was arrested on charges of second-degree drug trafficking, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Natalie M. Wingerter, 30, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Formal charges were not available at press time.
