This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 27

3:48 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business on the 2000 block of West 16th Street for a 911 call that someone was threatening to shoot up the place. Officers made contact with the complainant who stated that an employee who had some performance issues was overheard threatening to shoot up the place and that they wished to pursue charges. Dillon D. Mallonee, 25, of the 400 block of Tower Street was arrested for harassment to frighten or disturb another person and second-degree terror threat.

5:48 p.m.: Sedalia police responded to the 300 block of East Cooper Street to investigate a reported domestic disturbance. All parties involved were contacted. Corey T. Bush Sr., 38, of the 300 block of East Cooper Street was arrested for felony third-degree domestic assault.

7:32 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on the 700 block of South Massachusetts Avenue for having a defective brake light. The driver fled from the vehicle on foot. A passenger was arrested on a warrant and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Gerald W. Todd Jr., 60, of the 1700 block of South Engineer Avenue was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor failure to appear. The driver who fled was identified and charges are being sought.

10:50 p.m.: Sedalia police responded to a call of a disturbance in the area of the 1000 block of West Third Street. An individual was questioned in regards to some damaged property, theft, assault, and was arrested. Joseph E. Fore, 36, was arrested for stealing, property damage, and misdemeanor fourth-degree assault.

June 28

5:26 a.m.: Sedalia police patrol officers and detectives responded to the 2200 block of West First Street to serve a no-knock drug related search warrant. Entry was gained through the front door and contact was made with four adult subjects and a juvenile inside. The adults were detained without incident. A search of the residence and vehicles revealed marijuana, THC oil vape cartridges, prescription pills, a handgun, and additional evidence to indicate marijuana distribution was occurring from the residence. Cordero V. Anderson, 18, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. State charges for other suspects related to the investigation are pending.

Incidents

June 28

2:49 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of West Main Street for a domestic disturbance call. The investigation revealed that the suspect had assaulted the victim at their residence on the 900 block of West Sixth Street. The victim fled the residence and went to a relatives’ house. The suspect then stole the victims’ cell phone and went to the other residence to attempt to make contact with the victim. The suspect had left the residence prior to police arrival. The suspect later returned and broke the windshield of the victims’ car. No arrests had been made at the time of the police report.

June 27

4:50 p.m.: Jeremy Q. Prescot, 46, of Lincoln was arrested in Benton County for first degree promoting child pornography and four counts of possession of child pornography.

7:48 p.m.: Jason L. Stohs, 40, of Knob Noster was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended.
