On Saturday, the Bothwell Foundation will host the 12th annual 5K/10K Lub Dub Run/Walk to raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease in Pettis and Benton counties.

New this year, for a $50 donation, donors received personalized heart-shaped signs to honor or memorialize a family member, friend, coworker or anyone else who has struggled with heart disease. The signs will be placed along “Heart Warrior Way” on the final leg of the Lub Dub race. The deadline has passed to order personalized signs but there are a limited number of blank signs.

The Lub Dub Run includes 10K and 5K runs, a 5K walk and a kids run. All events begin and end at Bothwell Regional Health Center’s south parking lot on East 15th Street. Registration is available at www.brhc.org/LubDub until Thursday. Participants also can register during packet pick-up from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the Bothwell Education Center, corner of 14th Street and Ingram Avenue, or the day of the race between 7 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. The race will begin at 8 a.m., rain or shine.

All proceeds go to the Camye Callis Gaspard Memorial Heart Fund.
