Students on Sedalia Middle School's Team Stealth on Wednesday, May 22 donated the proceeds from their recent service learning project to two local agencies. Led by teacher Anne Luebbert, the students made friendship bracelets and sold them for $1 each over a two-week period to SMS students and staff members, raising $700. The money was split, with $350 donated to the Sedalia Police Department and $350 to the Sedalia Animal Shelter. There were natural bonds with the two agencies, as Team Stealth student Ava Benner is the daughter of Sedalia Police Cpl. Daniel Benner and student Riley Blankenship regularly volunteers at the shelter.
