One injured in Benton crash

An Urich man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday in Benton County.

Thomas E. Kirk, 19, was driving east on state Route BB east of Allen Road at 6:30 p.m. when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

He overcorrected and returned to the roadway. His vehicle then crossed off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

Kirk was wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. The Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District took him to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. A passenger, Nicholas D. Caldwell, 21, of Urich, was unhurt in the crash.

Collision leaves woman hurt

A two-vehicle collision caused injuries to a passenger at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.

Haley E. McCullough, 16, of Stover, was westbound at the state Route 52 and Route 135 west junction when she struck a vehicle driven by Walter L. Conavay, 71, of Sunrise Beach, as he attempted a left turn from the southbound lane, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Gail Conavay, 71, of Sunrise Beach, was injured in the collision. She was wearing a seat belt during the accident. An ambulance took her to Osage Beach for treatment at Lake Regional Hospital.
