Teenager’s vehicle overturns in Benton

A Warsaw teenager was injured in an overturn crash at 9:30 p.m. Friday in Benton County.

King R. Archer, 18, was northbound on U.S. Route 65 south of Cedar Gate Drive when his vehicle began sliding, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. He traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Archer was wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. An ambulance took him to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Illinois man hurt in Moniteau crash

An Illinois man was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 10:02 p.m. Friday in Moniteau County.

Arthur G. Lange III, 27, of Hinckley, Illinois, was eastbound on U.S. Route 50 west of Koerkenmeier Road when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the highway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. He returned to the roadway and his vehicle crossed to the left side where it overturned several times.

Lange was not wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. The Mid-MO Ambulance District took him to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City for treatment.

Woman injured in DWI crash

A woman was injured and arrested in Moniteau County following a single-vehicle crash at 11:16 p.m. Saturday.

Deandra L. Lowell, 29, of Clarksburg, was driving north on Sappington Road south of California Drive when she traveled off the right side of the roadway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. She overcorrected and her vehicle traveled off the left side where it struck an embankment.

It’s unknown whether Lowell was wearing a seat belt during the crash. She sustained moderate injuries, and the Mid-MO Ambulance District took her to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Troopers arrested Lowell at the scene on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving, according to a highway patrol arrest report. She was released for medical treatment.

Woman overturns off of Route 131

A woman was hurt in an overturn crash in Johnson County on Sunday.

At 8:20 a.m., Tammy V. Hall, 42, of Kingsville, was driving south on state Route 131 south of Northwest 1000th Road when her vehicle left the right side of the roadway and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The Johnson County Ambulance District took Hall to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment of minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt during the accident.

Jet ski explosion causes serious injuries

A woman is in serious condition after a jet ski exploded Sunday at Lake of the Ozarks in Morgan County.

At 11 a.m., Christina R. Parker, 20, of Eldon, was attempting to launch the jet ski at a boat ramp near the 2.7 mile marker of Gravois Arm, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. A mechanical failure caused the jet ski to explode. It then burned and sank into the water.

Parker suffered serious injuries and went in an ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
