Man flown from Pettis crash

A Blue Springs man is in serious condition after an overturn crash Thursday in Pettis County.

At 12:15 p.m., Rusty A. Lloyd, 47, was driving east on Route V west of Bahner Road when he left the right side of the roadway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. His vehicle struck a road sign and a ditch before overturning.

Lloyd was wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. A Staff for Life helicopter flew him to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Four injured on Boonville Road

A single-vehicle accident left four people injured in Pettis County at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Emmanuel Silchuk, 15, of Sedalia, was driving west on Boonville Road near Birdsong Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Silchuk and three passengers were injured in the crash. Samuel and Vladimir Silchuk, both 12, of Sedalia, had minor injuries, as did the driver, and will seek their own treatment. All three boys were wearing seat belts.

Yekaterina Silchuk, 61, of Sedalia, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. A Staff for Life helicopter flew her to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Man ejected in Henry County

A man was hurt after he was ejected from his vehicle during an accident at 7:51 p.m. Thursday in Henry County.

Matthew A. Smith, 31, of Deepwater, was northbound on Route BB almost 650 feet north of Route Z when the crash occurred, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Smith lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road.

Smith was ejected from his vehicle, though he was wearing a seat belt during the crash. He suffered minor injuries and received treatment at Belton Regional Medical Center.
