Orville “Moose” Moellman, 67, lives in Cole Camp and went to the Bothwell Walk In Clinic last July with what he thought was an infected callus on the ball of his foot. After an initial examination from a nurse, he was directed to go straight to the Bothwell Wound Healing Center for further evaluation.

The Bothwell Auxiliary began in 1971 by a group of determined and tenacious women, many of them wives of doctors at the hospital. The goal then was to be a light for patients, visitors and staff at Bothwell.

Every 28 days, Robbin McDonough makes the trek to the Bothwell Infusion & Procedure Center on the second floor of the hospital. There she receives medication through infusion therapy that helps ease her rheumatoid arthritis or RA symptoms.

Beginning this month, Dr. Lara Briseño Kenney is taking on a larger role at Bothwell Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center. She is board-certified in Hematology, Oncology, Internal Medicine and Palliative Care.

Thanks to funding from the Bothwell Foundation, Bothwell Regional Health Center’s hospital CT scanner has been replaced, and the Oncology Department scanner in the Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center has been upgraded. The improvements provide faster and more accurate information for diagnosing and treating patients’ illnesses and injuries.

As a registered nurse who likes hands-on care, Dr. ShiAnne Farris believes she’s in the right spot for the remainder of her physician training. Farris is one of two new resident physicians who will join the Bothwell-University of Missouri Rural Family Medicine Residency this summer.

As a neurologist, I frequently encounter questions regarding stroke, dementia and Parkinson's disease.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Bothwell Regional Health Center has launched a community exercise program that is open to adults of all ages. The purpose behind the program is to educate people on the importance of exercise, provide a safe place to exercise and offer participants a way to connect with others.
