Woman hurt in T-bone accident

A Sedalia woman was injured in a T-bone collision at 5 p.m. Thursday in Pettis County.

Brenda Gardner, 57, was a passenger in a vehicle with Bradley L. Schulte, 54, of Kingsville, as they traveled west on U.S. Route 65 north of North Grand Avenue, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Hank F. Moore, 48, of Sedalia, was driving north and failed to yield to Schulte’s vehicle, causing the T-bone collision.

Gardner, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries and was the only person injured in the accident. Gardner went in a private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Man crashes in escape from police

A Warrensburg man crashed his truck while fleeing from police in Johnson County on Friday.

At 2:43 a.m., Tristen T. McLain, 19, was failing to yield to officers’ sirens and lights while driving on West Pine Street and North Warren Street in Warrensburg, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

His vehicle started skidding as he attempted to make a right turn. The truck then left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Law enforcement placed McLain under arrest on several charges stemming from the incident. He received treatment at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

McLain has been charged with felony resisting arrest, felony tampering with a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, failure to signal, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, speeding, careless and imprudent driving causing an accident, and leaving the scene of an accident.
