Aug. 15

5:30 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at Liberty Park Boulevard and Summer Avenue after noticing it didn’t have a front license plate and the back plate didn’t belong to the vehicle. He spoke with the driver and discovered her license was revoked. The officer released the driver from the scene to tend to small children in the vehicle, but he is requesting a charge of driving while revoked against her.

Aug. 16

11:15 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of West 10th Street for a burglary report. The caller said the resident of the house had been away for a couple of days. When the family went to the house to check the residence, they found the back door had been kicked in and three TVs and an Xbox One were stolen. The total value of the missing items was about $1,050. The officer has identified a suspect in the theft, but he hadn’t contacted the person by the time of the report.

Arrests

Aug. 16

10:15 a.m.: Timothy M. Lotspeich, 59, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a lane.
