One seriously injured in Johnson County crash
A Centerview teenager was seriously injured in a crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. Route 50.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dustin J. Silvers, 17, was traveling eastbound on U.S. Route 50 at 3:48 p.m. when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck the rear of a vehicle that was sitting stationary off the roadway. Silver’s vehicle returned to the road and came to rest in the left lane of U.S. Route 50, west of state Route AA.
Silvers suffered serious injuries and was taken by Life Flight Air Ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. The other vehicle was unoccupied.
