Two seriously injured in Johnson crash

Two were injured in a single vehicle crash early Thursday morning on U.S. Route 50.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joseph L. Falk, 28, of Topeka, Kansas, was driving east on U.S. Route 50 at 2:36 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle on the wet roadway. The vehicle overturned and ejected Falk and his passenger, Brianna G. Suraud, 28, also of Topeka.

The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. Falk and Suraud came to rest on the right side of U.S. Route 50, east of North Devasher Road.

Falk and Suraud suffered serious injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
