Holden man seriously injured in crash

A Holden man was seriously injured in a crash at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jaren O. Bockover, 19, was driving westbound on U.S. Route 50 when he traveled off the roadway, overcorrected and returned to the roadway. The vehicle then struck a guardrail and overturned, coming to rest on its top, one-tenth of a mile east of County Road 501.

Bockover suffered serious injuries and was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District. The report states Bockover was not wearing a seat belt.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
