Two seriously injured in Pettis crash

Two Marshall residents were seriously injured in a Pettis County crash at 7:15 a.m. Monday. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Maria S. Flores, 43, was traveling southbound on U.S. Route 65. Another vehicle was also traveling southbound and side-swiped Flores’s vehicle. 

Flores’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert and road sign before coming to rest on U.S. Route 65 at Wildwood Road. 

Flores and a passenger, Maria Miranda, 38, suffered serious injuries. Two other passengers Noris C. Alvarez, 62, of Marshall, and Ena S. Ramirez De Alvarez, 29, of Marshall, suffered minor injuries.

Flores and Ramirez De Alvarez were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District. Miranda and Alvarez were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall also by PCAD. 

No further information on the other vehicle was provided by the report.
