Four vehicles caught in collision

A rear-end collision damaged four vehicles and injured two people Tuesday in Morgan County.

At 1:07 p.m., Halle J. Randall, 19, of Versailles, was westbound on state Route 52 when she struck the rear of a vehicle stopped for construction 2 miles west of the Route 135 junction, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Randall suffered serious injuries as she struck the rear of Christopher J. Leclair, 51, of Stover. Leclair sustained minor injuries in the collision, which pushed his car into the vehicle in front of him.

Leclair’s vehicle struck a sedan driven by Walker N. Schotte, 18, of Barnett, which caused the sedan to collide with a fourth vehicle. Dwight L. Beeson, 79, of Cole Camp, was the final driver caught in the accident.

Neither Schotte nor Beeson was injured. All drivers involved were wearing seat belts during the collision.

A Staff for Life helicopter flew Randall to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Leclair went in a private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
