Nov. 20

5 p.m.: Leroy E. Dillon Jr., 52, of the 900 block of West Fifth Street, received a municipal court summons for a charge of burning solid refuse and garbage. The Sedalia Fire Department and SPD officers responded to an unknown fire in the 900 block of West Fifth Street. They determined the property owner was burning without a permit, and the contents within the fire were prohibited items to burn. They issued him a citation for illegal burning.

Dec. 3

6:45 p.m.: Serghei B. Ciobanu, 31, of Green Ridge, received a municipal court summons for a charge of stealing. An officer was dispatched to a store in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a reported theft. Store employees alleged they witnessed Ciobanu conceal multiple items on his person and then try to leave the store. The officer stopped and interviewed him before releasing him with a municipal court summons.

10:15 p.m.: Andrew Briones Vasquez, 19, of the 300 block of East Second Street, was arrested on a felony charge of third-degree domestic assault. Officers were dispatched to Vasquez’s residence for a reported domestic disturbance. They arrested Vasquez after investigation reportedly revealed he had assaulted another person.

2:50 p.m.: Ashley N. Still, 25, of Norborne, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a single lane resulting in a crash.
