Arrests

Jan. 8

4:25 a.m.: Jesus Cano Gonzalez, 37, of the 600 block of West Cooper Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license. An officer arrested Cano Gonzalez during a traffic stop on West Main Street near the South Limit Avenue overpass.

Incidents

Jan. 7

3:35 p.m.: While on patrol in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Grand Avenue, an officer attempted to make an investigative stop on a cream-colored 2012 GMC Acadia. Both occupants of the vehicle were known to have active warrants from Pettis County. He activated his lights to stop the car in the area of South Osage Avenue and West Ninth Street. The vehicle accelerated, leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued the vehicle through several city streets and along South Limit Avenue until he terminated the chase in the area of Route B. He is seeking charges against the driver.

Jan. 8

6:30 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of South Warren Avenue in reference to a theft report. The victim said she noticed items missing over a several-month span. She said the total value of items taken was $5,396.13. The incident is under investigation.

Incidents

Jan. 9

12:40 a.m.: A deputy responded to the area of state Route 52 and Oxline Road in reference to a pursuit that came from Henry County into Pettis County. Deputies found the vehicle crashed in the area of Route E and Mather Road. They recovered a firearm in the trunk that they later determined was stolen from North Carolina. An investigation continues.

Arrests

Jan. 9

12:55 a.m.: Michael A. Lanning, 38, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of possession of marijuana. Troopers also served a felony warrant from the Kansas City Police Department.

1:20 p.m.: Christopher A. Watson, 32, of Boonville, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of not having insurance and not wearing a seat belt. Troopers served two misdemeanor warrants from Boonville.
