Police Reports June 19

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department 

Arrests 

June 17 

5:35 p.m.: An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an improper turn and improper lane usage. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated, suspended through the Missouri Department of Revenue, and had a Johnson County warrant. Joseph Kulian, 32, of the 1000 block of East Third Street, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, and misdemeanor failure to appear. 

6:55 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not have a license plate displayed on North Grand Avenue and West Morgan Street. During the investigation, marijuana was discovered in the vehicle. Gary A. McKinsey Jr., 19, of the 700 block of North Grand Avenue, was arrested for possession of marijuana. 

10:15 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of East 10th Street for a domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed one of the parties had held the other down and struck them. Joshua W. Moulder, 34, of the 700 block of East 10th Street, was arrested for felony third-degree domestic assault. 

Incidents 

June 11

9:44 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 900 block of Thompson Boulevard in reference to subjects on the roof. Officers were able to identify several subjects involved and damage to the roof was later discovered. 

June 17 

9:16 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 2100 block of South Limit Avenue for a burglary. The complainant said when they arrived for work in the morning they noticed random items in the parking lot. While looking around they saw the garage had been broken into. Various items were missing including a vacuum, vehicle batteries, tires, tire rims, battery packs, miscellaneous tools, a floor jack, gasoline containers, and an air compressor. 

1:56 p.m.: A complainant came to the Sedalia Police Department and reported someone had slashed the tire of a trailer belonging to a church the night of June 14. They were able to provide video of the incident. 

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Incidents

7 p.m.: Deputies took a report from an individual in reference to the theft of a firearm from the 16000 block of Bois D’Arc Road. The investigation is ongoing. 

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

June 16 

9:33 p.m.: Mark W. Leaver, 18, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County for no seat belt and a misdemeanor warrant out of St. Charles County. 

9:50 p.m.: Edgar L. Rodriguez, 25, of La Monte, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. 

June 17 

2:35 p.m.: Terry J. Sieleman, 41, of Appleton City, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated (drugs).
