This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 13

6:53 p.m.: Gerald D. Anderson, 48, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a subject check. When they made contact with Anderson a computer check showed he had two active warrants. A search revealed Anderson had drug paraphernalia on his person. 

11:14 p.m.: David A. Singleton, 33, of the 300 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested for resisting arrest. Officers responded to a call in the 300 block of West Seventh Street. The caller said a man was pacing up and down the block throwing rocks at things. Officers made contact with Singleton who was holding a machete. After refusing to put down the machete while yelling at the officers to kill him, Singleton led the officers on a foot chase. It ended with him being taken into custody without incident. Singleton was taken to the Pettis County Jail for safekeeping.

March 14

4:41 p.m.: David A. Graves, 52, of the 500 block of West Morgan Street, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting. Officers responded to a business in the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a subject stealing. Officers made contact with Graves who was caught on security cameras shoplifting. He was arrested and held at the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. 

Incidents

March 12

4:31 p.m.: A victim reported their shed in the 500 block of South Lafayette Avenue was burglarized. $1,914 worth of property was stolen or damaged. There are no suspects at this time.

Arrests

March 14 

2:49 p.m.: Rheanne L. Krantz, 38, of Liberty, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated (drugs), misdemeanor resisting arrest, and failure to fasten license plate. 

6:27 p.m.: John L. Weiser, 82, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of driving while intoxicated. 

March 15

1:17 a.m.: Willie, R. Waddle, 51, of Otterville, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, and driving with a revoked license.
